"after reading all these comments I did some more research and found that the only co. that used the dm9101f & the vt86c100a chips on the same ethernet card was acer it is an ALN-320"

"Unzipped DM9101F.zip supposedly a driver for a Davicom network card

with a chip by the same name. There are 51 files on the zip file.

Only 36 unzip. The rest are duplicates. My zip file overwrites

duplicate files. Installed the Davicom DM9101F network card.

Windows could not find LM-FA34V PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter for Netware

"I tried it with a Windows 98 system and I wasn't able to get it get the card to work with these drivers. I tried the WINBOND W89C840F drivers for this card and they worked perfectly.

"Perfect deze drivers moest ik hebben. Deze kaart werkt wel onder windows me, dan ben je geen drivers nodig. Maar ga je met windows 98 werken dan denkt die kaart je kunt het verekken, doe het zelf maar.Dus ik ben zeer blij met deze drivers. Nu nog kijken of ze het doen. Alvast bedankt."

"Thanks James and Thanks Lee, your comments were very usefull, i want to add just one comment, i had to remove a sticker on the top of the chip (Wich was the VIA VT86C100A) this chip said "Acer Netxus" and then a serial Number, just remove the sticker or you'll never found the driver (for those who have the same card i have)"

"Like Lee went to DAVICOM site and FAQ indicated that 2nd chip (ASIX) would be the place to start search for the DM9101F driver. At www.asix.com.tw/ I found drivers for the major OS's (ie Win 9x, NetWare, NT...). Installed in minutes and now up and running -) Thanks everyone!"

"I looked at this driver and it does not have an actual Win 2000 driver. I therefore continued searching at Davicom (see www.davicom8.com/faq.asp)and found that there is a second chip that is on the card and to contact THAT chip's manufacturer, which in my case was VIA Tech. I found a driver released 6/21/01 with Win 2000 support there at www.via.com.tw/jsp/en/driver/deta

"if you are installing Windows NT 40 remember to install it from control panel --> add new Hardware --> Network adapters... not from network propierties and this will make so easy the installation"
