"I have downloaded and unzipt it and did the installing with Setup.exe. I restarted my laptop but the scanner was still not recognised. I must be doing something wrong but I do not know what."

"I use a Network Scanny FB308C that equals a Primax Colerado Direct 30 bit FCC:EMJFB308C that I also posses (both 300dpi optical 4800dpi enhanced, parallel port scanners)

I had problems with most drivers I downloaded for using this with XPpro sp2. The sources are all based on the old WIN95/98/NT drivers. Some have modified name or date/timestamp. As fas as I found there

"Have drivers for Windows 9x, but not for XP

Gave driver a shot for my Primax 4800 Direct (parallel port scanner). No luck, even after installation.

The driver GUI is written in German, but follow your instincts. While the driver installed, it picked up my scanner was a stranger."

"I could not get the the 6100B Parallel port scanner to work with this driver on a Windows XP system. However, the scanner works great with the Photoshop Elements 2.0 software. I did not uninstall the Paper Port 5.3 software or the driver before using Photoshop Elements. I do not know if that would make any difference."
