"For Windows-XP users:

You need to install this driver before you connect the scanner to your computer. When installation is done, do NOT reboot, first remove the shortcut to the scanner utility from the STARTUP group of the START-MENU.

Then shut down, connect the scanner and startup again. When prompting to install a driver in the NEW HARDWARE FOUND dialog, search
