"i initially just formatted a floppy and unzipped the files to it. tried to boot with it and it never worked.... then i reformatted the floppy again choosing create MSdos boot floppy tickbox.

it couldnt overwrite one file, so i tried anyway...

it then worked when i booted and now i have .B14.. up and running. job done"

"It has been a while since i last visited Driver Guide so i have not been checking replies to the firmware i provided and hence my late reply.

I have been running NF24ALH.B14 now since around Jan 2005 and have not had any problems with it. As for the actual firmware, i have just downloaded the file as it is here and run the extractor. Winzip extracted the files to a new

blank disk without any problems and i have used this disk in three machines. All three booted to the dos prompt as expected and i was able to run the update program on two of the machines without problems (The third is my laptop which obviously uses a totally different motherboard which is incompatable with this firmware).

I cant see why you are experiencing problems but since your post was made a long time ago now i wont bother emailing you to see if we can sort it out.

"i set the floopy as a first boot device in the sequence at the bios but no what matter what i tried it still said system error remove disk, which means the driver in non-bootable, installed it onto the floppy, wrote down the directions and have yet to try them."
