"This driver worked ok on my onboard audio device. I was not sure what model was it, so i downloaded a benchmark program called sisoftware sandra 2005, fetched my motherboeard model, and googled for the sound card it used."

"You don't get a modern AC'97 on-board sound working, not even with this special driver. It just doesn't find the AC'97 Sound, because like all the other programs (mainly DOS MP3 Players) it looks just for a sound card and doesn't get it it's *on-board* sound."

"I know I shouldn't fault the driver...and really I don't. It's just, if anyone is thinking that they might be able to use this with MS-DOS7.1 and Virtualbox with the AC'97 emulated soundcard option checked, don't bother. It does look for an actual VIA card file and won't install. I need to find that Realtek AC'97 driver...if there is one that will work with DOS."

And then it asked me to rate the driver. Which doesn't exist.

That wasn't very nice.
