"I am so glad that I was able to find this web site and download this so needed driver I needed. I recently updated my system to windows XP, and I did not want to replace the scanner I have (Scanjet 5P with SCSI card Symbios 53C416 connection). I was not able to find any help locating the drivers, until I came across this website. Thank you very much, now my system is ru

"After trying drivers from the HP site, and 4 or 5 others from driverguide.com, this one FINALLY worked. It doesn't tell you to after the install, but you'll need to reboot XP before it will work."

"thanx a lot, i'm up and scanning. I spent the whole day trying to hook up my scanner through my printer port. My computer was completely confused with this, not to mention me. then I realized I had an extra scsi. got the driver through here and BAM! that was it."

"I downloaded the driver from the website and unzipped the file. I tried to use the driver but without success. It was not found in the file when I directed the wizard where to go, ie, the floppy disc. Any one with advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gary"

"Thank you so much for suggesting this driver for the sym53c416 SCSI Adapter. It works great with WindowsXP and my HP ScanJet 6100c. This is amazing as everywhere I have been on the web, I was told there are no updates to WindowsXP for this adapter and that I would have to buy a new PCI card."

"It works just great! Thanks so much. I had a little trouble associating the driver with the device, but I did these steps 1. right-click on My Computer and select "manage". 2. click on "Device Manager" 3. right-click on Symbios 53C416 and select "Update Driver" 4. Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) 5. Don't search. I will choose the driver to install 6.
