"I bought a used 98 SE laptop with a netgear pcmcia card and it wouldn't work. Dropped this in the windows/system directory and voila it is internet ready!!! Thanks for those that posted as google found your text!"

ould be done I had so many people (even the support at lnksys) telling me it couldn't be done that I was ready to give up. Then I found this site again and I could feel tears as I saw that little light on my wireless card come on. Now I have a bookmark! (which I will remember to write down should I reformat again!)"

Initially, the device driver would fail to load and device manager told me "The NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver. success solving this problem by grabbing the NDIS.VXD file from Windows Me or Windows XP and copying it into their Win98 SE's Windows/System directory.

Strangely, I couldn't find this file on my WinXP machine at work, but I downloaded the file from this site and it worked like a charm. I am now connected wirelessly with no problems so far."

"2.7 GHz Celeron eMachine ... simply copy to \WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder after install and say "Yes" to overwrite what's there ...

If high-speed processor with WIN98 and NIC is your problem, this driver is your solution."

"This website was a life saver. I was installing a network of a winxp and a win98se and didn't have my 98se CD-ROM. I needed the ndis.vxd file and was able to find it here and complete the network. Thank you very much. Great file!"
