"Most drivers on this site are good, i do recommend scanning before opening all files ( i have had 1 virus in 6 years, but can never be too careful )

on that note unfortunately this driver did not work on my scanner even though all the info was the same... install was good but not what i needed."

I tried for about two hours to get the drivers for a scanner 3300c, and went thru all your signing up crap, and still could not get them for my hp xp.

"Only works if you are upgrading from Win98 to XP and already have the win98 software installed (patch). Still haven't found driver for the HP3300c for a clean install of WinXP"

"Being an MSCE, I did some poking around in the XP system. I kept having the 2117 error, and no matter what driver I installed, same error kept appearing. I found that XP requires a TWAIN driver for this scanner to work. HP does not/refuses to make a compatible driver/software for 2k/XP. Secondly, the issue seems to be mostly a fault in the LT software (undefined error 2117

"This driver is only an Update! I got a driver from the HP-website with works properly sj650ge.exe (German!). The driver sj650en.exe did not work on my computer with Windows XP. Befor installation delete the folder sj650!"

"I too received a fatal error using the 54 mb file found on HP's website. However, when I unzipped on another computer, I had no problem. Next I copied that unzipped folder on to a CD and copied that folder on the computer that will use the HP scanner. I ran the Setup.exe file on the 2nd computer and was able to install the software without a problem. Next I then downlo

"To enable the 3300C or equivalant compatible scanner you must download the big 54+ meg file and install. Then restart the computer to enable this driver. Then go back to hp's site and download the XP upgrade patch file that is 600+ megs from the same page. Note that HP states that this patch is for NT-95-98 etc. upgrade only install. You then restart as instructed. Plea

It might be worth noting that this driver on this page and the other driver are exactly the same size, and somewhat larger than the HP download (which is 51.4MB). Obviously neither work.
