"Update worked perfectly first time BUT be aware that you should use the flashing utility that comes from the motherboard manufacturer - rather than the BIOS manufacturer. I know it shouldnt matter but it did in my case. I used AFLASH.EXE from ASUS rather than AWards utility (which did not work but fortunately did no damage)"

"today i was on the net all night looking for a clue on to install this bios the right way, i came across that you have to disable the bios upgrade and the byte merge in your bios frist then use the flash upgrade program and install it , it install fine without a promblem, now to get a bigger cpu to try this out thanks"

"i install the driver with the asus bios upgrade program it stop at 8% of flashing toward at the end of the prosces it said to hit flash again to try again or hit exit ,i tryed one mor time, again it said the same thing , i hit exit to abord, so i reboot the computer and it list the 1006 bios at boot up and it also pick up the new bios on the Asus Flash BIOS upgrad program

too i dont know if its true or not if it realy works until i get a bigger CPU i, i have a 733 p3 can any one email me and let me know if it didthe same thing to you"

"Hey stokaz thanks a bunch U saved me bucks...Your beta driver fixed my error "Unable to update bios" I upgraded from 550 Mhz too 800 Mhz and always an error on boot up, but not anymore!!"
