"This is the real deal! A working WXP driver for the misbegotten 3Com 3C19250 USB NIC.

This device is picked up by WXPH without a hitch. May be seen as a 6.0 Mbps connection, but that's okay - other USB NICs have the same behavior.

Still a good deal to pick these up cheap (I like its uninstall through W9x).

And yes, bollox to 3Com for not providing a driver!&quo

"Unbelievable job Phil, thanks so much. I was upgrading my son’s computer to 2000 from 98, for stability reasons, and really thought I had no other choice but to either go back to 98 or toss the adapter and buy a new one. I know that new adapters are as low as $25, but with the holiday season here, I would much rather put that towards my children’s’ presents. Thanks agai

"Driver installed with no problems and worked a treat! I liked the funny comment about "No bloody thanks to 3Com!" as an afterthought...whoever was responsible. This driver was urgently needed at work to finish a complex application of many P.C's and Laptops networked, so good work fella!"

"Hi, driver works fine with win2000 when installed and detected. PC does not recognise USB-device after reboot. I have to disconnect and reconnect cable each time, then adapter registers automaticly with your driver. Any ideas?"

"Just great! It works fine with windows2000 as well. 3com seems to ignore "older" hardware, it is more profitable to sell new adapters all the time."

My old computer was Windows ME. I kept on getting the message "An error occurred during the installation of the device. The inf or the device information set or element does not match the spec

"Phil, Thank you, thank you, thank you! The PCCard slots in my laptop just got trashed, so I'd be without network access, except that I had an old 3c19250, but no driver. The earlier driver here would cause STOP errors constantly in my laptop, but yours seems to work fine. Thanks! Jim"

"I was able to modify the .inf file a bit further and had this driver working for the 3C460 HomeConnect adapter under Windows 2000. If I have a chance, I will post the modifications I made up here as well."

"I just downloaded the driver file.and installed it.It conected me to network as before. When I installed the drivers, there was warning form microsoft that it may damage the system.but i continued and it is working now."
