"This driver worked as advertised. No reboot! Just followed the directions, and I didn't have to finalize a disk to view its contents! Just downloaded via USB!"

"HELP!!! i've got a mavica cd300 and i can't download the pictures on my computer, i lost the cd driver and adaptec direct cd installer, where can i download those softwares? im using win 98"

"Driver works great in XP. My machine does not let me use finalised cd-rws in this mode, but since you can just put them in your normal drive, no problem. Otherwise, you have to change the usb mode again on the camera."

"I got this file from a different location, because "driverguide" was probably hogged by other users or off-line. However, I installed the software more or less as you stated and eventually, after having to reboot twice, I was informed that an extra (new) hard drive is available. At least I can get pictures to and from the disc, but I'm not sure if this is the best way out.
