"all anyone has to do is read and follow the directions that came with driver download to get it to install right. i had a little trouble at first too,but then i read the installation item.

read this all before you do anything!!!

install the program!

restart computer!

then hook up scanner cable!

this did it for me.

you can let people see this.

"I have been trying to get this scan magic 1200 UB plus scanner to work for over a year. but you actually need this driver and another driver found on this website. it's called UP_LIB.EXE along with web.exe for it to work .it tells you and the read me file that comes with web.exe but I was blind and now I see .thank you Layne,"

"The driver information was incorrect. It stated that it is for operating systems Win98.Win ME, Windows 2000, Windows Xp. When I installed the driver the recommended operating system is for Windows XP. A file called "1200ubplusxp.html" advises how to do the installation, and refers to two installations, where one of the files didn`t come with the "zip" f

"This may not be the right place for this comment, but here it is. The name is the closest I could get to the name on my scanner, and it downloads and (apparently) unzips fine, but I get absolutely nowhere with the installation wizard, which will not find it, so my scanner is still out of action."

"just use the 1200 ub driver for win 98 cant promise if it will work for anybobdy else but after installing it on 7 different systems with xp havent had any trouble with is win 2000 seems to work fine to"

"i've tried this thing more times than i care to mention, each time i get a different message, this file is missing, insert 2nd disk, or dill file is missing, then when i contacted support they had the nerve to day it wasn't one of their scanners"

"make sure usb lead is disconnected during installation and all other software of mustek is uninstalled. install software, reeboot and then let windows find scanner and install driver. good luck"

"go to www.mustek.com/Download/driv_scanr/english/12ubplus.html follow the instrution completely. The only catch I had upon installion was a pop up that stated something was busy. I chose the ignore option and the software installed. Thank God. I have a scanmagic 1200 UB Plus and am running windows xp. I have read all your complaints about this file and add my amen. Go

"www.sigmasoft.ro/ftp.sigmasoft.ro/pub/mustek1200UBPLUS/ copy that and paste it. It will bring you to a place where you can get the 1-4 files. Just donwload the first 4 on the list into the same directory as 1-7 I don't EVER spend time filling these out, so a thanks would be appreciated ^..^"

"I have had NO luck with the driver. Maybe I am not doing something right. Can someone send me an e-mail with a driver that TRULY works. I'm starting to think that my scanner is nothing but garbage, and that Mustek is a fraud."

"This package fails to indicate the Twain/Panel drivers are seperate. Also, a missing DLL file,(LTKRN70N.DLL) prohibits use. Perhaps it's in the Twain/Panel drivers set...but for whatever reason the Twain/Panel set of drivers seems to be unavailable."

"The site would not let me download the driver. The site keeps promting me to upgrade to a higher account. This was the first and only driver I tried to download, and I never got it.

Also had a hard time activating my account."
