"This is no linux driver! linux drivers(modules) are in the .o or .ko format. They are not .inf files."

"Thanks for the driver. It looks more like a Windows driver with the .inf extention. THe routine of implementing it into Linux (I am using Corel) would be quite helpful -)"

"Works great....I opened the modem and it was shipped without driver disk or CD! Anyways, works fine. Tried unsuccessfully to find the driver on the 3Com site (pain in the a*s, very poorly set up). Thanks so much..."

"Thanks a mill. I did not know that I must copy the .inf from stiffy to the inf directory in windows. Detected my modem agian, Windows updated its driver database. "It" selected standard modem, I then went in the selection section and under Manufacturer 3Com, the 56k Fax Ext was listed, selected that and my problem was solved. Thanks again."

"Hey Andy, try right clicking on "My Computer" then click properties, click the plus sign next to modems, then click the properties button on your USR modem, click the driver tab, then have it search for it (specify the directory you downloaded the driver to). Hope this helps!"
