"seemed to work fine, still leaves an unknown device (pci) on my system so I am sort of wondering if there is another device to this modem ie. wave device for voice/fax? it worked though, thats what counts"

"Setup did not install modem properly. Had to go to hardware wizard "Install from Specific Loation" then "Don't search. Let me choose driver to install" Select Modem and the Conextant d850 modem was in the list."
