"I got this reply from Ben@Q to my query about this problem with my Prisa 620P:

There is a Window XP driver on the download section. However, in the scanner there is an EPROM chip that may be to old to accept the lastest driver. Since the scanner is out of production since year 2000, there is not updated hardware available for these model and all the acer model.
