I needed this driver for an HP Pavilion 8750C, and found it at the following address thanks to the HP Forum (Yes! HP! At first I was as disappointed with their "HP doesn't provide support for Pavilion's upgrade to Windows 2000" disclaimer as you probably are by now, but... you know, the extra mile... )

"HOLY COW!!! I cannot believe I FINALLY found this driver. High and low I searched and thanks to Alexandre, the silly modem is working. For those of you who don't know how to get this to work Download it to your desktop and create a new folder on your desktop (call it HP Pavilion modem, or something like that), then when you open the application that you've downloaded

"well it wasnt the exact driver due to some revisions i think but none the less other drivers i downloaded twinned with this driver some tweaking was in order etc...

please note this could have been specific to my system and revised hardware and this driver will probly work exellent with the majority of other ppl's hardware installing drivers on 98/se is never as easy

"Hello ! Everyone i 've a HP Pavilion 8513 model (asia pacific). My system came with win98se as O/S. Now i've upgraded to windows2000professional. The Problem is my systems soundcard and modem does not work. I 've tried in HP's site for the driver but i couldn't get an update for my modem and sound card drivers. can any one help me regarding this please mail me immediately

"I cannot get the driver to work. I followed all of the direcitons step by step, but my computer says "Windows was unable to locate a driver for this device. To search another location click Back, or if you do not want to install a driver now click Finish." I recently reformatted and installed Windows 2000 Professional on my HP Pavillion 8570c.
