"Brilliant, Thanks a lot! The installation is as easy as mentioned by Jerry. If you have any problems after installation, try another USB port and see if the system is recognising the new scanner. That's what happened to me and the whole thing is doing fine now! Thanks again."

"yeah. i did download the drivers alright but after clicking the British flag it did install some driver all right but restarted the machine and got stucked. can somebody help. i got my money down the drian.lol"

"Mustek told me they dont have a driver for this product, which is a pain. cos i never could use it on my old win 98 computer cos the usb blew up on it, which is a funny story, and now i try to use it on this it can't work cos its XP. so i have scanned 1 picture correctly in its life. Pretty expensive for a couple hundered quid hey."

"Re. Mustek 600CU. I downloaded the Win.2000 drivers and "Win.XP tool" from Mustek site. "Tool" didn't work but following Musteks' instructions I renamed Product Name in registry and tried again...worked perfectly. It's a bit frightening when you get the Microsoft warning about incompatible software though."

"Have the same problem as drivers downloaded from the MUSTEK site for W2K - "An installable Virtual Device Driver failed Dll initialization". I did an upgrade from W98 to W2K prof. Could there be some stuff hanging around in the registry causing this problem? Any suggestions?"

"I have installed drivers as above. All ok. However, if you plug the usb plug in after power up the system hangs ! (This doesn`t happen with my usb modem) Any ideas ?"

"I'm in the same boat...I downloaded the XP fix off the Mustek site, got the W2000 drivers..The installation goes fine, when I try to scan (through, say, Paint Shop Pro) it tells me the scanner is there if I click 'source', but when I click 'acquire' I get a 'The Scanner is not connected' message. It works fine on the same PC on my W2k installation, using the same W2k driv

"Thanks for the drivers. Its installed now, but the scanner is not working. It seems that the software is just sitting there and not doing anything. The normal interface is not coming up. There is also no shortcut anywhere that I can see. Any suggestions will be very helpful. Thanks again for the drivers. The Mustek webpage for XP drivers has been down for ages."
