"The network card communicated with the outside world in Win 2k safe mode but not in normal mode. This driver did not solve the problem."

"In case anyone else is trying to do the same, this driver seems to work with the LNEPCI2T on Windows Server 2003. You have to go to the driver's properties at set the connector to UTP (the default is BNC)."

"I have a bunch of *Longshine* Winbond W89C940-based PCI network cards. Been using them for years with Win95, 98 and 2k and never had a problem. Just got a shiny new computer running XP and, despite the card being recognised and appropriate MS signed driver installed by the OS, this machine can't see (or be seen by) my network! Problem was that XP only looks for a UTP con
