"Well, good try for the person who got the Lexmark 5700 to work on the Xerox XJ8C. Xerox must have been franchising the design out to more than one manufacturer because my legal version of XP Professional does not recognize my Xerox XJ8C for anything but what it claims to be. I was excited when I found the listing and immediately hauled out my Xerox, now outdated printer

"I have a Xerox XJ8c, the Lexmark 5700 was the only driver I could get to work with WinXP. Also save old ink cartrige caps so you can use the Lexmark ink cartridges."
