"IMPORTANT!!! IF YOU NEED TO RE-INSTALL THE ROCKWELL RIPTIDE AUDIO CONTROLLER, AND YOU LOST THE CD, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL THE FILE/DRIVER on windows xp!. "This driver worked! Thank you so much.

I installed Windows XP Professional on one of my old computers (a HP 4450) to give to a friend. The only thing that wouldn't work was the Rockwell PCI 56K Data Fax Speakerphone modem after the install. I tried several other drivers which did not work, but this one worked like a charm."

"Sorry, won't work on a HP Pavilion 6620, with the combo Rockwell HCF 56K/Riptide audio does not hang up the phone line with Delrina Fax 8.0. workaround ripwww2k from Ben Spiers works fine, even with XP"

"I have HP pavilion 6470z and I have upgraded 98 to XP on it and also have internal modem. When I tried using this zip file and pointed my modem to the inf fle of this zip file and then it adds modem but it says not functional. Please help me out in this matter."

"I don't know what the hehe is all about, but I loaded all the drivers that I could find to get my riptide combo modem/sound card to work on my stock HP Pavilion 8490. This after I made the mistake of loading ms xp. None of the drivers worked, and after spending alot of time I purchased a US Robotics modem card for $20, and now my modem and sound card works fine."

"Good job - I nearly blew it. After downloading file, select all extracted files and put in new folder at root directory. Then when installing, direct to this new folder. I have alwas been able to have install program find the files in the folder in which I extracted them, but it would not work this time. Thankyou! The modem seems like it is working fine!"
