"Somewhere between downloading this driver and after the install a virus got through locking me out for a while and poping up tiresome "fake" warnings about my registry. HA HA HA the laught was on me this time."

"The poorest instructions I have ever seen for a BIOS upgrade. (The idiot who wrote it could also clean up his language a bit.) Very poorly designed AMI program. Doesn't even prompt you to save the old BIOS. If USB devices are connected or enabled in the old BIOS, forget it. It will not work. It ruined my motherboard!!!!!!"

"Me anduvo bien. Con el bios anterior no reconcocía un disco de 40Gb, ahora sí. Por ahora anda, me falta probar un par de discos más grandes a ver que tal, pero parece que funciona."

"This bios rom does not work well with the m598lmr motherboard. The systen posts properly... but generates atapi errors for some drives and could not boot from my 12gb hard drive. Use the 2k0930.rom bios update instead."

"The driver did update the bios thus enabling the mainboard to recognised higher capacity hard disk. Mine is 40GB Seagate."

"Tem toda razão quem fala que essa PCCHIPS é uma merda para minha surpresa ao instalar o windows XP o vga não aceita os drivers antigos e não se encontra em lugar algum uma boa atualização. Comprei uma placa aceleradora e não tem slot GP para instalar. Porcaria. Qualquer micrinho meia tigela com outra placa roda filmes até um K6 300 com 4 mb de video roda esta merda tem 32

"Alguem já resolveu os "paus" que esta versão da BIOS tras. Existe uma outra versão menos "problemática" que faça a placa reconhecer HD de 40G e não dê tantos problemas. Se alguem souber me avise. "Muito obrigado pela atualização. Funciona perfeitamente, uso com um HD Samsung de 80GB e reconhece 76GB. Não tive problemas, nem com o mouse que é serial. Entretanto, achei um conflito entre dois drivers, mas não sei se a causa é a atualização ou alguma outro erro. Mesmo assim o sistema funciona perfeitamente. Os dados antes eram 52-1028-001437-00101111-071595-000000-001_

"Facil instalção e tranquilamente reconhece HD de 40, mas não tem jeito de reconhecer o mouse instalado na serial. Se alguem tiver alguma sugestão. Agradeço. Easy to install, and now I can run my 40GB Hard Drive, but, now my serial modem can not be recognized in anyway. So if some one have some sugestions I will apreciate it. Thanks in advance."

"Dando razão ao camarada Victor V. Benincasa, a PC-CHIPS é uma merda. Tipo nem deveria existir pc com hardware onboard, diminui muito o desempenho, compartilha muita memória com a RAM, enfim é uma merda, além disso não disponibiliza os drivers antigos."

It did give me a "BIOS TAG INCORRECT" error, but I had no choice except to go ahead with the update. Fortunately it worked. My old tag 001_01_SIS530 New Tag 001_01_M598LMR"

"Buenisimo, me tomo el disco sin problemas, antes de tratar de detectar el disco cargar el BIOS con los valores por defecto para BEST PERFORMANCE, luego de hacer esto lo tomo bien, antes no lo detectaba, suerte, gracias"
