"I have been looking for days for a winxp driver for an adaptec 2940au. Gave this a try and it worked perfectly. Went into device manager slected scsi to update driver told it where the unziped file was and it worked then it asked for the winxp disk for another file I put disk in and it found the file and everything seems to be working great. Thank you very much!"

"Holy Cow, Batman! This driver works with my Iomega Jaz Jet PCI SCSI card under Windows Server 2003!!! Spread the word to the People! Yes, that's right folks, that old NT-only card works great on WS03 with this driver. I just needed to locate ASC.SYS on my Win2K disk, and presto, we have Backup to DAT! Thanks!"

"Got it working. I should have read Christophe's advice in tghe first place it doesn't work to simply rename the original scsi.inf file in \windows\inf. IT IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO DELETE, OVERWRITE, or MOVE it to A DIFFERENT DIRECTORY and replace it with the Win2k version in this download. Once I did that, it was full speed ahead. Thanks everyone!"

"Excellent, worked great with XP, but XP didn't want to detect it because it's not XP certified.

Go to "Reinstal driver", pick "choose my own", SCSI device, then uncheck the "compatible drivers" box and "have disk"."

"Didn't work for Adaptec 2920. Error says ".inf file is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor." I am running XP Pro with FAT32. Very frustrating. I was hoping this would work. Any clues?"

"I'm trying to install XP onto a system with only a SCSI hard drive (No IDE hard drive). When I try to install XP, it looks for a manufacturers floppy to copy the install files from. This driver wasn't what it was looking for. I'll try loading 98 (which finds the AHA-2920 ok.) first and then upgrade to XP to see if that works."
