"This BIOS update worked excellent on my PCChips M599LMR V1.4 Motherboard. I flashed the board using aminf322.exe

The eeprom in my board was an AMIC A290021T-70, upgraded from 2k0930s.rom to this one and everything worked fine. No ACPI support in this update though."

"Gets as far as "NVRAM checksum invalid - press F1 to continue" (which is normal after a BIOS upgrade), but pressing F1 results in a blank screen with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner.

Abbreviated result: one dead motherboard

This is why I usually stick with Asus. I'll be buying one this afternoon."

"bios update.

used a floppy with dos 6.22 boot-up.

seems to be a cut down version of the usual cmos program, but so far has worked fine in pcchips with 500mhz amd processor"

"danger trashed my bios aminf336.exe checked the old bios and gave ok, than the flash of the new bios crhashed at the end "fail 20 USB""

"To use this file first you have to go to www.pcchips.com and find the program aminf336.exe. It is is zip form i think. Then uncompress it and copy the program to a DOS bootdisk. Also copy this file on there with it. After you boot the computer in DOS type in "aminf336.exe 2k1222s.rom". If all goes well it will start to work. and then reboot the pc. You will then need to en

"When I tried to program (AMI82713.EXE )the BIOS, it failed checksum verification. The file size shows correctly, but I don't want to risk trashing the BIOS, unless I can verify the file contents. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bob"

"does anyone know where I can also get the modem, ethernet, sound, usb(?) drivers for this motherboard? I bought this system as a bare bones sys hoping to slam the CPu and hard drive in it for a cheap server. I never used it after I got it running the first time. Of course now that its only fit to be my elderly mothers web surfing machine, I can not find drivers or a man

"When I followed the instructions to download the driver I was surprised and puzzled to find RealPlayer was the program I needed to use to open the file. Can this be right? Ididn't open for fear of something serious happening. any suggestions, anyone?"
