"Okay, I'm slow to convert to XP (Pro), and as KYE didn't have drivers for XP I came here. I had the same problem with it asking for a disk, but went in and read ALL the comments and Tullio's solution did the trick!!! Some have said this is the same as the 9600.exe update but I didn't try it, if any one has and it is better please let us know.

"This driver is not working on my Windows 2000 system. It is not possible to run because the soft is asking for a Disquete number 1.

I lost time with this application."

"I could not install the driver. Iy kept asking for a disk that is not there. I have not yet found a way of downloading a dloppy disk, only the data on it. Even if I unpack the drive onto a floppy disk it don't work."

"I could not load the driver. I unpached it onto a floppy disk, and it kept asking for the disk bue would not recognise it. My scanner still does not work in WinXP. Just as well I still have Win98 on another hard drive. I have to revert to using that if I want to scan anything."

"I couldn't get it to work on my computer. Probably because I have XP. I downloaded another driver for this scanner from this site and I just tried it out. Seems to be working fine."

"Using Tullio's directions, I was able to install the scanner on XP Pro. Now that the drivers are installed, I was wondering if there was a way to add the scanner to the "Scanners and Cameras" folder within the control panel. I tried doing this by clicking 'add a new scanner' and then pointing windows to all scanner folders (one-by-one). None of which enabled me to add it

"Pra resolver o problema de instalação do driver quando é pedido o disco 1 de instalação, crie 3 novas pastas no diretório aonde vc está instalando, as pastas são driver, help e twain. Copie tudo para as 3 pastas, volte ao setup e instalará sem problemas."

"Downloaded the file. Extracted in to a tmp folder, copied all the files into the three directorys (DRIVER, HELP, and TWAIN), ran the setup file and wothout a restat works fine!!! Thanks!!"

"To solve the "insert the disc #1" problem do this In the directory where you have unpaked the files create 3 more subdirectories named DRIVER, HELP, and TWAIN. Copy all the files in each directory, dont'worry the installation program will pick just what it needs. Run the setup file and all will work fine."

"I´m having the same problem with my KYE Flatbed Scanner ColorPage View when I try to load it in Win XP. The program doesn´t run. I have got the download at this site from Jim Newby but after installed whem I try to load the setup the systen asks for a disc 1#. I have the original disc from KYE but it also doesn´t work. Someone could help me, please?"

"Ok,I have downloaded viewp2k.exe and view9600.exe. I've installed viewp2k but cannot immediately see a way of "upgrading" it to view9600. The view9600 package did not come with an install/setup file. Can someone please tell me how to upgrade this?"

"Load the ColorPage-View Pro for NT/2000 first (viewp2k.exe) followed by the ColorPage-View Upgrade to 9600 dpi (view9600.exe). On the properties tab for the program, set it to run in NT4 SP5 compatability mode. It took a couple of previews to calibrate it properly but now seems OK."

"me he bajado el dirver para el scaner colorPage view, pero no lo puedo instalar, ya que una vez descargado, cuando intento intento instalarlo me da un error pidiendome un disco. reinicio y no sirve de nada ya que me funciona el escaner. ¿como puedo solucionarlo?"

"It just doesn't work! I have downloaded and burnt it on to a CD just in case I need it later. The PC recognises that it is on the CD, furthermore I have also saved it to my 'C' drive. When I look to the 'C' drive it confirms that it is there, But I can't use it. What am I doing wrong? Help !!"

"This is actuslly the 9600 update! I believe when Jim zip the files, he forget to set the setting "keep file path", so that after unzipping, the subdirectorys ./DRIVER, ./TWAIN and ./HELP are missed and installation failed. "if you get trouble in XP (I did... images are sliced... but not in win2000) with the BIOS Parallell port option EPP (as recommended... for best performance)... try switching it to ECP or to SPP (the slowest but works...)"

"Exactly what I wanted but I cannot get the program to install. No matter where I unpack to it always asks for the drive and will not accept any answer. Must be a file missing? Any suggestions?"
