"This is the most reliable IDE/ATAPI CD-ROM driver for MS-DOS around and when properly installed it works great. I do want to correct the installation instructions. 1) Copy the driver file to your hard drive or boot floppy 2) Make the following CONFIG.SYS entry DEVICE=VIDE-CDD.SYS /D MSCD001 3) Make the following AUTOEXEC.BAT entry MSCDEX /D MSCD001 Voila!"

"For those of you who don't know how to install a simple cdrom drive mounting driver (only required for dos & win3.x enviroments) don't knock the site for your ignorance or lack of research. I strongly suggest you take your A+ again or leave the fiddling up to the professionals. Dos 5.x for dummies would be a good start."

"Additional note There is a semi-colin between the /D and the MSCD001 in both entries. This list system knocks them away."

"Folks, this is a driver for MS-DOS. Do NOT use it with Windows XP. Windows has all the drivers you need for a CD-ROM drive."

"DEVICE=VIDE-CDD.SYS /D mscd001 The "mscd001" has to match the line in autoexec below MSCDEX /D mscd001"
