"I searched high and low for a reputable driver download site that offered drivers for a "fb PCTEL AMR v.1.2" modem which came on my SiS 730S motherboard. "Windows keeps looking for PTHSP.DA_ and wont load the driver without it. PTHSP.DAT is in the files, but windows wants to do its own extraction. I couldn't get them to load."

"There was no install and windows didn't see any drivers in the directory where I unzipped it to! It looked to me it was missing a few files! Thanx anyway, I'll try a diff file!"

"This driver was for a modem that came with a prebuilt PC from the manufacturer (forgot the name), though, when doing a search on the manufacturer's website, I found the name of the device, but the driver was no longer available. Came to driverguide.com, did a search for the device name, found it, downloaded it, and it worked like a charm - no problems."
