"I can't open this file - it says I have 4 files in it - I bought WinZip - that didn't help -- I talked with your tech guys and they were stumped - worse case scenario - I take the DVD Rom out of this computer and replace it with another one.

"Have been unable to access .Downloaded and unzipped ok.Used cdsetup option which is supposed to install but came up with error message?Have not got the knowhow to enter or alter Dos settings manually. Running XP .

File might be ok if used right?"

"have gd 2500 running on xp, only thing is, region been changed too many times so only reads cd's. any ideas how to unblock it? if my drivers are usefull to anyone, just let me know where to find them and will send them. (am fairly new to this technical stuff lol)"

"i have a gd-2500 i salvaged out of an old aptiva and the ibm motherboard had all the drivers for it i downloaded all the gd-2500 files for xp that this site and not ONE has worked so don't waste your time...if you're looking for decoders, you're better off buying windvd for only $10...if the rom doesn't work at all, spend the $30-$40 on a new one. it's not worth reformatti

"The driver IS for the 'OLDER' Operating Systems. It will install in 2000 / XP but without an .ini file the newer O/S's won't let it enter 'System Directory Properly'. It 'WILL NOT' damage your operating system permanantly if at all! If it causes a problem just do a repair (OS 2000 and up) or return the system to it's 'last known good setting'. I am going to try to 'TAG ON'
