"After installing Windows XP I pulled my hair out for hours trying to get my hp 9100 series CD-RW to work only to discover that it wasn't supported by XP - this driver cured the problem - works fine now! It fixed my DVD Rom too, and it's a different brand!"

"I having hard time trying to make work my HP CD writer 9100 with windows xp home edition, I've spend money baying new drivers for it but it never work ( that happen after I upgrade to windos xp)"

"Works fine, but requires 'correctly formatted' mp3's, without mentioning what that means. (Other burning software had no problem with these 'incorrect' files.)"

"Having downloaded this "driver" to run my cd writer 9100 series, I found it to be a program for copying cd's. I am yet to find an XP driver for my burner. I have burned cds (pictures) which I made with windows 98, I can no longer access these files using XP. Can any one help?"

"This 'recordnow_ver35bf_enu.exe' file is NOT the actual product 'driver' for the HP cd-writer 9100 series CD-ROM Drive, which would have been supplied on CD from HP originally. Instead of offering the drivers from the CD for download, HP wants to SELL the CD instead ONLY for shipping & Handling (and $11 minimum). HP DOES offer this (recordnow_ver35bf_enu.exe) file, a

"This worked just fine on my old system (98), but now there is an error code whenever I try to install it on the new computer (98SE). It says "Error Code 0007.8004006". Can anyone explain how I can correct this, or is there a different driver required for 98SE? Please e-mail to my address. Thanks"

"I am downloading to get actualization of Direct cd for win xp. Hp products is usefull in case to full format a cdrw than other like Easy cd creator or Nero products.For complete format takes only few minutes not half or an hour."
