"I read the comments that it didn't work with W2000, but tried anyway. It did not work when I tried installing it through Add/Remove Hardware and browsing to the location where I had placed it. But I then went to the NIC settings, System, Hardware, Devices & reinstalled the driver - this time it found it. Works fine."

"3COM also lists this driver for the 3C597-TX card... which their web site does NOT say is no longer supported. It doesn't say that 397 IS supported, so who really knows? I came here to download as 3COM's download (FTP) kept giving me (2003.11.13) Page Cannot Be Displayed."
