"It says for Windows XP but would only work on my old Windows 98 computer

"Worked fine, the scanner works wonderfully. Win 98SE One small glitch i can live with - a clicking sound out of the sound card after printing. Solution: reopen the scanner application included with the driver and close it again. Clicks go away."

"good, worked well, can use the canoscan to scan fine. Only problem is that windows XP Pro does not detect the scanner itself. so other scanning programs are useless."
