"This driver fixes Win XP so that you can install the Win 2000 version of the Mustek 1200 III EP scanner. This driver worked, but my system will not take the 16 bit drivers for the scanner even with the fix."

"Mustek sucks. Talked to support once - never got through again.The fixwinxp tool will only talk to me in Danish. Per support, I tried to get it from other global locations. Nope. One of them said they only had the English version (that's nice) and it came back in Danish. It worked fine on my old 95, but never has on XP Home. Now when I try it freezes the system. I'm

"FOR XP Download the Windows 2000 driver! Download the Windows XP tool (fixwinxp.exe) from the Mustek site. unzip if zipped. If prob. refer to Mustek install xp-tool steps. run "Regedit.exe" ect. Use Graphic programs to Aquire."

"I have a Mustek 1200 III EP that is working just fine on my Windows XP Professional system. On 7/25/2002 I downloaded d12epe22.exe from the Mustek.com site. It is for Windows 95/98/NT and it installs in XP with no problems. I will try to upload this driver for others to try."

"didn't work scanner worked great until I upgraded past 98 now it won't work at all and I tried all of the fixes shown."

"Tip number one DO NOT install the Mustek software. If you have installed it, uninstall it or delete it. Delete any proof of it being on your computer! Then microwave the CD and use it as a coaster. INSTEAD, download the 2000 drivers from driverguide.com and also download this fix program. Then install the drivers with the fix program. Next, go get your office XP CD

"Gave the driver a try and couldn't get the scanner to work. It did start and move as if it were scanning, but no images appeared in the preview scan mode. When I first heard of this drive, I kicked myself for getting an HP USB scanner, now I am glad I bought the thing."

"*I downloaded 1200 III EP driver and download tool at Mustek. It didn't seem to work (instal driver). I then realized, that it did indeed install the driver. I found out when I went to Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Office document scanning. Engaged program, it located driver, I selected scanner model, and scanner worked like a charm. "Use the Windows ME driver instead. It allows you to install under Windows XP. In the C \WINDOWS\twain_32\A4S2_600 directory there will be a file UI.EXE this is the GUI for the scanner. Also works through Microsoft Office Document Scanning. Worked for me........."

"This file is a winXP tool for Mustek1200 III EP, and it's also on the Mustek web site. You also need to download Win2000 driver to use the scanner. More info is on the Mustek web site."

"Mustek 1200EPlll, didn't work, tried a lot of methods including editing the registry,upgraded to XP from 98se, Mustek scanners blow anyhow, get a new scanner"

"The "fixwinxp.exe" file, along with the Win2000 drivers can be found on Mustek's web site. They also have detailed instructions on how install it all. My advice...go there instead."

"IT WORKS! I have a ScanExpress 12000 P and it is now installed on XP. Double-click this exe that you have downloaded, but also download the WIN2K drivers from the mustek site before doing so that you can install them. This app allows win2k drivers to be installed on XP. The installation does says that it hasn't worked and win XP doesn't pick it up in the control panel BU

"Same driver work around as mustek. That didn't work. Have contacted Mustek a few times with no help. I will be finding the trash can for this product. I will not purchase Mustek products again!!!"
