"This drivers didn't work for my old system I had rebuilt with Win98SE (Compaq Presario 7594). According to Compaq's website my modem is a PC-TEL HSP56 MicroModem. The modem goes into a PCI slot and the driver made it look like the modem was installed but in the device manager it still showed a PCI device that needed drivers. I had tried to update the drivers for the PCI

When i tried to use the Win 2K driver by unzipping to a folder and then making the 'new hardware' wizard look into that folder for the driver, my computer just hung. This just worked fine for me. Once again thankx for the driver. I strongly recommend this driver for other users of Win XP professional."
