"I could not believe this modem would work with XP. These drivers worked well! The rig I am running this modem in is a SOYO 5EMA+ with an AMD

K6-2/550 and 512/PC133 ram and a 7200 RPM Seagate 30Gb HDD.

I had the modem installed. It had a yellow dot in the device manager list. With the driver unzipped to a folder I removed the modem and rebooted. XP did the rest. Many

"I don't know much about drivers, nor modems, but was looking for one for my modem (that had "Rockwell" plastered all over the chips on the card itself) to replace the "Standard Modem" that Windows (Win98SE) loaded at install. I was annoyed by the tinny handshake ring at dial-up that I couldn't control from the properties page in Device Mgr.,... and this driver supplied by

Bruce (Thanks Bruce!) did the trick. I still cannot seem to use the "distinctive rings" panel in Device Mgr. with this new driver, but at least the handshake ring emanating from the speaker in my box has gone - which is all I really wanted anyway."
