"Glad to have it but don't need to try it yet to have larger capacity HD in exchange for no temp readings. BTW putting in a 100MHz FSB CPU on this stock 66MHz FSB board does upgrade the board to a 100MHz FSB as the company claims."

"Ok, BIG THANKS to Avenger and DriverGuides!! It has some power-down button issues that have appeared, and the memory check during boot up gets "stuck" when coming out of Pause/Break key or BIOS mode. A swift CNTRL-ALT-DEL takes care of that. My motherboard is a 6ABX2V v1.2 with a Slot1 PentII 400MgHz. The Upgraded BIOS in now #9KA7-02. My BIOS CPU Temps are no lo

"This worked like a charm, I used a DOS 6.22 Boot Floppy from www.bootdisk.com and put the Flash and .bin files on another floppy (not enough room on boot disk). My Bios used to be: Date 12/30/1998, Max. 33 gig HD

Now it is: Date 01/17/2000, Max. 137 gig HD? (allows my 80gig)

Also, it let me back up my old BIOS to the Floppy, *.bin file, name of my choice, really cool

1. when i use my p.c, the computer errors (stops) on the memory check when i use the reset button. (it doesn't reset correctly)

2. my computer doesn't close down properly ( "its safe to turn off computer now")

This bios update solved my nerd-problems...:)

"I am getting the CPU ID Missing error on boot up and when I shut the system down, I cannot shutdown using the power button. When the Windows screen says "It is now safe to turn off your system", I try to use the power button to shutdown but nothing happens. I have to pull the power cable out to shut the system down. Is this a motherboard issue or an OS issue?

"There was at least 3 LuckyStar's motherbords in this family 6ABX2, 6ABX2V, 6ABX2C. As far as I know, they has model number 9KA6, not 9KA7. It is _very_ close, but not the same. So, you'll get 128G HDD support (Great!), but you'll lost motherboard temperatute sensors with this BIOS. Read this article carefully www.lanyoncomputers.com.au/corner/threadview.jsp?post=5550&th
