"I've tried to get my scanner to work by downloading the driver 4 times and I have not been able to. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I also had a friend who builds computers to try to down load it for me. He was not able to make it work."

"There was a problem with the files, but after playing around with it for a long time, I was finally able to make it work. It doesn't give it for Win XP so I had to use ME and force it by over riding the final step."

"When try unpacking the file with WinZIP, get a 'not a valid ZIP format' type of message. Using Win XP, with SP2. Latest version of WinZip."

"After long hours of trouble it finally worked. This driver was allright. But first nothing happened. But then I installed my old Photo Express software and from there I could aquire scans and enter the twain dialog.

I really had given up (almost) already.

On the Mustek site it says you've got to install the "generic scanner module" too, but that didn't work

for me. Photo Express did the trick.

It is very unclear to what extend all these different Mustek-products really differ. Never buy Mustek anymore.

"It worked wonderful for me and it was only after I read your instructions and figured out I had to uninstall the automatic drivers that Windows XP had installed before it worked. Your instructions helped me tremendously, SO EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS AND PRINT THEM OFF. IT IS SO SIMPLE. I still need to figure out how to get an icon to the start or desktop.

"TRY THIS if you are having problems uninstall any drivers you may have tried for this scanner so far. *Unplug* the scanner from your computer. Then install this driver, plug in the scanner, and go through the XP Wizard to select the driver for use. After several previous failed attempts and much frustration with this driver, I tried this procedure (which I found mentio

ned on a Mustek web site in Taiwan) and it finally worked. You may still have to reboot during the process, I can't remember (it will tell you). When going through the Wizard, also it warns you about a possible incompatibility--just say OK anyway. Hopefully this will help!"

"I've just upgraded to xp from 98. I have also been unsuccessful at upgrading the driver from mustek's site. Every time I try to scan, my Intel Web Cam comes on. Isn't that bizarre? I will try this driver. Many thanks."
