"This driver does make the BlackWidow 9636 work on the XP system, but you have to adjust the instructions for XP. Easy enough to figure out. Once it's installed, it helps if you turn on the scanner before turning on the PC - old style - or you may have to find the driver file again."

"Compaq Laptop P4 XP home. USB connection

Tried the BW_9636_USB_WINXP.zip but no luck.

Used 9636usb2000.exe, follow instructions and is working

"Got a real problem with installing my Domex 3191D-02B Driver disk for the Black Widow 9636 HiRes Scanner. It just won't recognise it at all.Doyouhave the Original Installation disk and drivers"

"Thanks to Magraret I persevered. If you follow the instructions to the letter it really does work! After running the fix I had to force XP to update the driver to the old one by going to START - CONTROL PANEL - PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE - HARDWARE TAB - DEVICE MANAGER and then update the driver to the one on my origial Black Widow CD (USBDRV98 I think) Good luck!"
