"Had not effect, wasn't sure how to install it? copied files into agfa folder but didn't work, for ref. My 1212P has a power on button + I suspect my epson sc760 printer is not helping even with the latest epson driver. Using the other drivers here I can at least get windows to recognise there's a 1212P out there! but then when you boot up the scanwise it asks for it to be

"I followed the instructions on Russell's posting and it worked a dream on my laptop. Scanwise works better than it did on Win98. Now I can convert my desktop to XP which might solve some other problems I've been having. I didn't want to lose the use of my scanner."

"Forget the so-called beta-drivers, they are the same version of SnapScan (1.40.1). 1. Go to www.armin-eberle.de/Snapscan_1212p/Snapscan_1212p__E_/Snapscan_1212p_WXP__E_/snapscan_1212p_wxp__e_.html 2. Download the 9mb SnapScan file even if you already have the 8mb one 3. Install exactly as per the directions. 4. Grab SnapScan 2.0 from the same page and install afterward

"This (as wel as all the other drivers i've downloaded) didn't work... The best advice i can give is just to buy a new scanner... You've tried ur best, the lesson is... never try!"

"Wow....I am speechless. After searching for what seemed like forever your "patch" works perfectly on my winXP Pro. Just Install the latest so-called 2000/XP drivers (1.401 I believe) from AGFA and then copy the files in this zip to the install directory. Double click the reg file and it's done.
