"this driver worked fine on a HP Pavilion 6460. After a clean install of XP, it did not find the modem.....this did the trick.

"worked flawlessly for the sound on a Pavilion 8555c with 98SE installed... attempting to install the modem crashed the OS, however."

"when I install my modem in windows xp it is installed but don"t know the port . windows xp know it under name "soft generic" , by this working well. why?!"

"It actually works!!!! I have an HP 4456 and after installing XP it wouldn't detect the modem. It was actually calling it a PCI simple communicator. I updated the driver on that with this file and it actually works now. It no longer needs a modem enumberator and a modem...just the modem will do. THANKS A BUNCH!"

"Hi to all...i have a hp pavilion 8565c series. This driver work on Xp, you only have to install it on the device manager in system options. So if you need some help only send me an e-mail."
