"This driver worked well for a Gateway MX6445. You have to use the "have disk" install method, otherwise XP will tell you it cannot find a driver. The drivers on Gateway's website don't even work. Either way, great job on the driver upload, and happy listening to those that finally find this driver."

"Well, the only problem I see is that when my Laptop is booted / Restarted; after POST (Bios checks) I hear one faint sound from the speakers as if they are being turned On/Off "..dub..". This noticeable sound was not present there when I was using orginal Conexant audio driver (provided by HP)in my Windows XP Professional 32-bit edition. I have laptop model->

"Este controlador es buenisimo, ni siquiera en el sitio web de la portatil pude encontrar el adecuado para el windows xp, tenia mas de tres dias de estar bajando y actualizando controladores, pero este resulto ser el mejor, simplemente funciono, con los otros no. lo recomiendo sobre todo para aquellos usuarios que tienen una LAPTOP GATEWAY MX6441 con un disp. CONEXANT AC-LI

"Running Vista beta 2 on an HP Pavilion zv6123cl. Heard this driver would work. It doesn't. Says it's the right driver, but the platform isn't correct, so won't install for my laptop. Vista is x64 platform on AMD 64 3200+."

"The system worked preatty well after this. I still had he "high definition device on high definition audio bus" thing but I had audio. to tell you the truth i got no idea what it is. It works fine without it. triied the realtek audio driver, the microsoft one and the ati catalyst. none of em fixed so...is working! So nevermind!"
