"Thank you very much for your additional comments about the driver being for dos/3.1.. I am running 98, and my cdrom keeps loading in dos, but once I run windows, it loads a realmode driver and is slower than ANYTHING... I can't seem to get it to use the drivers I loaded in my config.sys. I don't understand it either, as I had always used the same driver, and it worked f

ine. One day, I re-installed 98 from the cd, (to fix any corrupted dll's, etc..) and when it got done, my cdrom was OUTTA there... anyway.. thank you so much for the CDR-260 NEC driver.."
