"I downloaded this file because the manufacture did not have anything small enough to put on a floopy for installation into dos. It did not work for me."

"hp pavillion win me installed new hd have start up disk start w cd rom support device name mscd001 error no drives found aborting installation. DESPERATE need to reinstall windows from CD. Can someone help please"

"Used this driver on an IBM Aptiva 2168 Restore diskette. The IBMIDECD.SYS driver originally included does not work with some drives, especially my 52x, so I renamed it to IBMIDECD.OLD and saved this driver as IBMIDECD.SYS on the restore diskette. Works perfect, and with all CD-ROM drives that I have tried. THANKS."
