"Esse modem é aquele onboard CNR que vem na placa ECS P4VMM2 e chama Smart Link 56K HAMR 5603. Driver difícil do caralho. Mas o importante é que funcionou no XP SP2, PORRA. !!! Valeu :)"

"Win XP rebooted every time when diagnostic comms with modem attempted. Possible faulty modem, it's now in the bin."

"after installing and start the modem, the system hangs

but in the hardware properties is says it is ok."

"This driver worked well with an obscure AMR/CNR modem

fitted in a UK "Tiny Computers" model which I was repairing.

Modem marked as 1456VQH3-INT (Askey ?) and with a small chip marked HAMR 5603. Works fine under XP."

"Works for me. Not sure where the rest of you are going wrong, but maybe you might want to try removing the modem from device manager, then reinstalling and using this driver."
