"Hello,

When I follow the instructions, WinXP Pro does want to upgrade because it does not find any newer version of the driver. So, I am not able to install it. Is there a way to force Windows to install this driver ?

Any help is welcome.

For info, the modem is recognized as a Best Data but its FCC ID is

RIGCHN 34696-M5-E (Vendor ID : 0x127a Product ID :

"I have XP & Conexant R6793 modem. I installed the driver, and I got the blue screen of death. Every time I rebooted I got this error, wouldn't let me in. I finally had to boot into safe mode, delete the driver, no things are OK. DRIVER DID NOT WORK FOR ME!!!"

"This and HSFp_WinXP.zip operates the modem in that it dials up and connects but when connected the speaker keeps hashing. Data flows OK with ping and for e-mail but no http data flows, i.e. no web pages come up.

The modem card is one that has a microphone and speaker port. I have no access to the driver CD or diskette at present and hoped downloading would solve th

"It didn't work for a Windows 98 version. It is ok for XP users. I stated this because it said it will woek on Windows 98, but I tried and it did not recognize neither the drivers or the hardware."

"HAY just wondering witch is best, I have a conexant R6793 mode, it has 2 phone and 2 for speeker/mic, and i need a driver for XP, on the CD that came with it i allways used PCI, Connexant, R6793. Just wondering witch driver i sould use if that was the old driver when using 98. Thanks"
