"I used this driver for a old brother HL1030 printer I was given. It was connected using a parallel to usb cable. I test printed a photo a map and a word doc they all came out ok.

I am running Win XP Pro SP3"

"absolutely brilliant. I am a bit of a novice and have no floppy disks to put drivers on so all I did was used hardware wizard on xp pro, used the browse function to show it where the unzipped archive was on my HDD and bob's yer uncle."

"Thanx Nick! It's installed and all systems are go... i just overrode the 'no digital signature' complaint and everything's gone fine. System: Windows XP home edition. So very glad that this was available - would have been a real time-consuming ordeal otherwise, i'm afraid - you're the man! best wishes, amber."

"Hiya Nick - Thanks for the driver - have used this brother for 3 yrs but added to new dell year ago and everytime I had to reboot told I was told to add disc for new hardware (no xp signature)-grrr- didnt work when I tried to 'open' from download but did when I saved to hard drive. Using xp home edition - thanx again - Jax x"

"i need help!!!! Hl 1030 is pug n play, so the computer automatically detects it. How do i get it to find the driver file? i know where it is, but it only accepts folders. PLSE HELP IF U CAN! e -mail at the address given, make ur subject somthing like hl 1030 plse . THNX."
