"Try download more than once if necessary... my first attempt resulted in a less than 1 MB file, but it worked fine the next time (9.03 MB). Haven't installed the hardware yet, so can't say whether the driver itself actually works!"

"This is byfar the BEST driver for XP and 2000 pro if you have a soundblaster live cd you can use the software off that to sontroll EAX and sound effects"

"would not detect my sblive card. meanwhile I am very unhappy with the sound quality that comes with the oem drivers on all platforms ( I have tried 98 me 2000 and xp) also there is an issue with my via chipset that the card doesn't like. in short if you have a via chipset or are thinking about purchasing this product, my advice is ..... "I upgraded from Win 98 to Win XP Pro. At that point Soundblaster Live card would not provide sound. Went throgh the whole trouble shooting guide in XP and no sound. I downloaded the driver and still no sound. This is how I found the fix if you have this same problem. I have Camebridge four speakers and a subwoofer set up. Go to the control panel and select sound speach

"Installed this driver on 6th of july 2003 on my 1800 AMD,K7 Triton motherboard, with Soundblaster Live 1024 soundcard, because I couldn't get my rear speakers to work. Downlaoded no bother at all and installed with no problems.
