ill then update your firmware. It worked for me and cured a problem I had with Nero 5 hanging my machine whenever I tried to burn a disk. Thankyou agustin, the abuse posted here is completely unwarranted and shows a large amount of ignorance misumi 4802te works grate with windows xp, just tune up the ide bus to pio mode !"

"Mark, still got the message about inability to load wnaspi32.dll, even after installing it as PiKarl suggested (also after installing it from the adaptec site). Alex, I'd love to try to boot to DOS to try it your way, but that seems to be impossible with XP. (XP seems to be short for XtraPainful in my opinion...)"

"Visit the Mitsumi web site, download the updated drivers, boot to DOS as per the instructions run FLASH.EXE and power cycle your PC when done, then XP saw my 4802TE as a CDRW"

"I got the message that the file wnaspi32.dll is required when I ran winflash.exe. But it can be downloaded from www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?wnaspi32"

"Hi all, If you try to double clik on the file you will get a message like the one posted by Donovan. To get around this, you need to download winrar. Use winrar to extract the file. This will work. Good luck all!!!!"

"i'm still trying hard to find the suitable driver. The download over here ONLY upgrade your firmware to version 2.1d but the WinXP doesnt seems to cooperative to CDR-4802TE. If i got the solution i'll let you all know but for worst case guess i will downgrade the OS to Win98SE ... Dont you all think Win98SE is far better than XP ????"

"comeon guys and girls out there ) dont get so frustrated. just rename the extension .exe to .zip you may need winzip program to view this file. extract it and run the .exe but i tried running it in WinXP environment no good ( i have tried it successfully in DOS environment."

"Still Not functioning? I've seen a few reviews that say mitsumi's not going to support winXP at all. I reccomend emailing their customer support and writing negative reviews around the web until they release a functioning XP driver."

"Received "WinZip Self-Extractor header corrupt." msg when trying to self-extract. Was able to manually extract using WinRar, but software did not recognize that my drive even existed."
