"YES, Works fine with XP, The sound is onboard SIS620 with sound circuit trident 4DWave-DX-1 I installed over XP and works fine.

"Didn't work. After reboot the restore point was restored... Unistalled the soundcard and tried an ESS ISA card. Worked fine. I'll keep the Trident cards for NT WS's."

"It made the sound work, but it prevents the computer from shutting down, leaving it hanging at "windows is shutting down". Uninstalled it and now no sound but shut down works !"

"You should not write this driver name "Trident 4dwave dx" cause , it only work with "Trident 4dwave Nx" soundcard. so , if anybody want to use this driver, only download if you have "Trident 4dwave nx" soundcard."

"It worked fine for me. I love this site ) The card I was installing was an Aztech card with "Trident 4DWave-NX A CCC02 M2R11 9914/39040367" on the main chip and I was using XP Home. I've noticed that most the people who have said it works have been using Aztech's."

"Tried this driver with WinXP professional. Driver installation complained that the driver was not Microsoft certified. Despite the warning - I chose to install the driver. The computer blue screened and restarted. Haven't tried re-installing since then."

"ow gd i hate ti drivr it wont work its so annoying sum1 ca u suggest advice . i save taget as and it saves straight away and it says its 37kb big and then itry opening the trident.sys and it asks for a program to open it with so it searches the net and it dont find it if anyone has succesfully downloaded it id be grateful if they could send it to me via my email address

"Unfortunately this driver did not complete installation on my XP Pro box, ending up with a blue screen and repeated reboots. The majority of the installed driver components had to be disabled via Safe Mode in order to restore system operations."

"this driver DOES NOT WORK!~!~! all it does when trying to install it myself was crash my PC. then after the crash ..my cd rom was no longer in my device list. dont boter with this driver ..it's a HUGE WASTE OF TIME."

"This driver may work with the 4Dwave NX, but what he neglects to mention is that it does not work with the DX version of this chip at all, even though he labeled it as such. If you have a DX chip, don't waste your time!!!"

"This driver cannot be installed on Windows XP. I have tried it with Aztech PCI 238 sound board.

It simply throws "Blue Screen of Death" before installation finishes causing computer to reboot."
