"AWDFlash could not find the file it was looking for (to update). I don't know any more than that as the BIOS utility had no area for additional configuration. The install simply did not work."

"I was going to try this upgrade, but after reading all the problems, not a good idea! I upgraded memory from 32MB to 128MB. But only 64MB was recognized. Previously I upgraded from 2GB to 60GB hard drive and I had to use Data Lifeguard Tools disk to get my system to recognize the upgrade."

"wtf, go to your motherboard's manufacturer's site and check for an OFFICIAL BIOS update!.. and make sure you have the matching bios updates for your mobo, or else YOU WONT BE able to use your mainboard anymore!!, ofcourse reflashing is ok.. but alot more risky"

"I am happy that people take time to write these comments. I have a pentium III board but when it boot up it shows pentium II. Thought about downloading this BIOS to fix the problem but after reading the comments I think I will settle with with what I have now than killing the computer. Please read comments before downloading!!!!"

"I tried this Bios update, my computer accepted the larger hard drives, but it wouldn't allow me to install my ethernet card, and my modem had a lot of problems to get it to work. I finally found a driver that works much better. This driver is 807i802.zip, I am going to upload it right after I leave this comment page."

"It seem there are two version of the Award modular BIOS v4.51pg, a 1MB version that accepts 128kb images and another 2MB that accepts 256kb images. This URL elite.gisnet.jp/download/download.htm lists update for both however large disk support appears to be only available in the later 256kb images. If anyone has found anything other than this please let me know. Thank

"If your computer no longer boots up, then you got the wrong BIOS file or it didn't flash properly. If your BIOS chip is removeable you can replace it, or put it in another computer that is running (already booted with the floppy disk)(be careful about static discharge, or that one will die too) and try reflashing it, then switch BIOS chips back. "Please, check your earlier bios version. For example mi410 or mi412 you will find it underneath bios 4.51pg during booting up your computer. Also check that you have a line that says "press alt+F2 for AWDFLASH" all the way down on the same page. Otherwise go to www.fic.com.tw/techsupport/bios for help. Good Luck once again."
