"Was the only driver I found to work on the Dexxa 4800 with Windows XP. Seems to work well. I had to reinstall the next time I had to use the scanner though!Hopefully this won't always be the case."

"Although this seems to be a driver for an Artec AS6E scanner, it works very well with my Dexxa Flatbed Scanner 4800. The scanner program even looks just like the orig. Dexxa program on my old Windows 98 box. Highly recommend this driver!"

"I used my old Dexxa 4800 (bought september 1997) scanner with my 3rd home PC, still running Windows 98. When I ubgraded it to XP Pro I did'nt even try to plug the scanner again: it is a good machine, but generally you cannot find an XP driver for a 7 years old scanner.

But I found this one, and surprisingly it works fine!

"Perfect for win2000 - install and run no problem. Runs both EPP and Bi-Directional but faster on EPP Bios setup. Help files appear to be in chinese - but - no problem - it would seem that this driver v.1.3.5 is from Ultima Electronics who seem, looks like, bought Dexxa so the screen controls are the same type, colour and design as Dexxa was under Win95. Actually better

"I downloaded it to run my dexxa flatbed 4800 scanner on my new hp pavilion 725n computer with windows xp & you were right it does work I only had to change my system bios i/o mode to epp. thanks a million Rick."

"Worked with XP Home, after I edited the winnt.inf file to not require source disk sub directories for finding the files. It then did not ask for any "disk". Thanks! Cheers, -wb"
