"It seems that realtek forgot to put this PID in the inf file... but the driver works excellent

So on toshiba satellite L300 1BB i have modified the inf file to mach with the device ID (under section ;; IDs for 98SE/ME/2K/XP)

original line:

%RTL8187B.DeviceDesc% = RTL8187B.ndi, USB\VID_0BDA&PID_8189&REV_0200

modified line (PID from device manager)

"This worked fine for me on a x32 platform.For those which doesn't work,did you try it by telling the OS where to search.In the window where it asks where is the driver you choose the option "Install from a list or specific location".This is how it worked for me.Thanx the board for the driver."

"I'm trying to find a sound driver for a HP pavilion 522n. They don't seem to have it listed at HP so I thought I'd read the chip # and try here. Couldn't find one that would work. Not this drivers fault - I'd blame it on HP. The RealTek web site had an error."
